Donations made to Beat Cancer Today benefit patients and their families by way of our financial support to three great organizations. The University of Iowa Dance Marathon, Children's Cancer Connection, and Children's Oncology Group. No disease kills more kids in the U.S. than pediatric cancer. It claims the lives of more children than asthma, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis and AIDS combined. The main reason more than 20 percent of kids diagnosed with cancer do not survive is the lack of effective therapies. Some promising therapies exist, they just lack the funding to go to trials.
